Maia And The New School
Maia and the New School is a heartfelt children’s story about staying true to oneself.
Synopsis
Maia, a bright young girl with a love for dinosaurs, stories, and creativity, starts at a new school. Nervous about fitting in, she begins to hear a nagging “little green monster” inside her head that tells her to change who she is—hide her dinosaurs, dress differently, and agree with others even when she doesn’t believe them.
As Maia tries to please her new classmate Sophie, she loses touch with her own joy and feels increasingly unhappy. Just when she begins to doubt herself completely, Maia hears another voice—her heart—reminding her of her true self and what real friendship means.
Will Maia rediscover her true self once more?
This uplifting story reminds children (and adults) that the most important lesson is to be authentic: real friends will accept you for who you are, and true happiness comes from listening to the voice within.
